Option 1: 26-day
Immersion Program with Japanese Courses and 1 Week of Travels
JUNE 11 (Wednesday) -July 7 (Monday) 26 days

All food and lodging
throughout the 26 days in Japan both at Mikuni International College and while
traveling are provided, and students will cook with us, and learn Japanese
dishes and teach Japanese students American dishes as well
·
Housing on Mikuni campus
is in lodges or apartments (depending on how many students we have and
capacity) separated by gender. Japanese and American students will be living
together (http://www.mikuniinternational.org/housing/)

Japanese classes will be
provided for students to take.
·
We will want students
who have taken at least 2 years of high school Japanese
·
Yes, graduating seniors are
permitted to come
·
Classes will be taught
both by native Japanese speakers and Japanese teachers from local Utah schools

Full immersion
opportunity with chances to meet and live among Japanese students
·
Airfare and 7-day
JapanRail (JR) pass are not provided by
Mikuni International College (Airfare depends on when students buy tickets,
what airline they fly, and when they fly, but expect $1200-1600 roundtrip. The
JR Pass is about $266 and can only be bought outsideof

historic and beautiful sites around Japan with possible destinations to include
Kyoto, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Kamakura

All American citizens can visit Japan for up to 90 days without a
visa before arrival, but all participants must have
passports. Students from other nations will need to check with their home
countries’ embassies for rules about visas in Japan.
