Remember the new policy for this new semester

1) You should remind your parents to excuse your absences ASAP in order to get full points on your daily grade.

2) If you are absent, it's your responsibility to check our blog and check what is the homework for next class.

3) Late homework will only be accepted a week after the due date.

4) Retakes of quizzes should be done up to a week the quiz was due. You are allowed to retake 2 quizzes.

5) It's your responsibility to bring all your materials to class including textbook, notebook, binder/folder and pens/pencils. If you don't bring it and claim that you did homework, but forgot your binder/folder at home, you will not get full points on your homework. Make sure to check your backpack if you have all your materials before leaving your house. You should learn that in the "real world" if you forget your materials for your company's presentations no excuses will be accepted. You can even lose your job depending on your assignment. High school is just a practice for "the real world" to prepare all of you to become a responsible adult.

If you have any question. please come and talk to me. I will be more than happy to help you guys in anything!!!

New policy about retakes and late homework

I've changed the policy about retakes and submitting late homework.

I will only accept late homework up to a week after the due date for half credit.

Retakes also can only be done up to a week after the test. However, you can retake 2 tests.

Also, I am not going to change your daily grade at the end of the term. Your parents should excuse your absences on the day of your absence or on the next day. Daily grades are free points and I want to make sure you were really sick on the day and not just sluffing because you didn't study for the test or something.

I hope that changing the policy, you will be more accountable about your grades and not procrastinate until the last week of the term.

Keep working hard! Never give up!

The last day of the semester (term 2) is tomorrow. Some of you are relieved that you could turn in all your assignments to your classes on time and some maybe are regretting that you should have worked harder and now it's too late.

Tuesday a new semester/term is going to start. Have this new one as your first step, start little by little and then be aggressive. If you don't procrastinate on your homework and pay attention on your classes, I am sure EVERYONE will be able to accomplish amazing things in all your classes. I say amazing, because everyone is different. Some of you may want to ace in all your classes and some just want to have a better grade than C, for example. Whatever your goal is, keep it up! Never give up!!! Remember that YOU are the ONLY one that can do things for yourself and if you really can't, be humble enough to admit that you need help and search for help. Don't just sit on your coach waiting for things to get better or problems to be solved. Unfortunately life doesn't work that way most of the time.

Let me just share my favorite quotes with you.

You never will be the person you can be if pressure, tension and discipline are taken out of your life.

Dr. James G. Bilkey

You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

George Bernard Shaw

Good luck to everyone on the new semester!!!!!

And remember, NEVER give up!

がんばってください!!!!
