Extra Credit opportunity

The second Monday in October is a Japanese national holiday called Taiikunohi (Health and Sports Day) which commemorates the 1964 Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony held on October 10. Various sports events take place on this day, and traditional sports festivals called undoukai are held in many Japanese schools around this holiday. In undoukai, children are usually divided into two teams (red and white) and compete for their teams. Common events include tsunahiki (tag of war), tamaire game, kibasen (cavalry battle), creative dance, and lots more.

BYU is hosting an undoukai on October 23 from 10am to 12pm. All the local high schools have been invited to participate. It is a lot of fun and it is an excellent event to learn more about the Japanese Culture.

I will be there and those who attends this event will get 30 points of extra credit!

Don't miss this incredible opportunity!!!
